The model that was created at that time is still valid today for those who dream of pursuing a university degree: the Foundation finances the degree and the student, in return and for the duration of his or her studies, the university student dedicates 20 hours a week to the training and care of young children in the urban centers of the Foundation.
This meeting also had as a BIG reason the commemoration of the 24th anniversary of the legal constitution of the ZUÁ FOUNDATION - May 17, 1998 - and the 20th anniversary of the beginning of the work in Patio Bonito. This reunion was the closest thing to a family reunion in which brothers and sisters recognize each other, value each other, consolidate the sense of belonging, and feel again that special atmosphere that unites and brings us together as we look back on so many moments lived and so many lessons learned. It was a day full of emotions, of wonderful surprises to meet after the pandemic, to embrace each other and to know that we are all well, that everyone is returning happily to what continues to be their home, their family, their group, their community; when they arrived they found a house that is more organized every day, that is growing steadily and that the programs of the Foundation are reaching more and more children and young people in need.
It was also an opportunity to renew the mutual commitment of being part of the Foundation, "to serve those most in need"; but of course, this challenge becomes even more achievable to the extent that we are all part of an organization with more experience and with a team fully dedicated to working for the community, then renewing the bonds of union with the Foundation, acquires all its meaning for the parties.
Finally, I want to send a fraternal and infinite thank you to all our donors, because thanks to them, every semester, we can support young people in their college career helping them together to build their dreams.
